Prof. Shen reported the results of the APSTH meeting at Taipei in 2016. There were more than 600 participants and the program included a celebration of World Thrombosis Day and two educational programs sponsored by ISTH and WFH presented by eight leading experts. There were eight intriguing and inspiring plenary lectures and 52 invited symposium speakers. The congress included 4 thematic oral and 100 poster presentations with six young investigators awardees and 15 poster awardees. The publication of “The State of the Art: 2016, Researches and Reviewers” from the 2016 APSTH Congress was the first ever publication of APSTH congress proceedings through Thrombosis Journal. Chairman of APSTH, Dr. Lai Heng Lee commented that the Taipei meeting was the best conference in the history of APSTH in terms of quality of abstracts, number of world renowned foreign speakers, and the vast amount of industrial support. She invited Prof. Shen to share the experience of industry involvement with the organizing committee of future Congress. Prof. Lee also urged Prof. Shen to share the contact list for Industry supporters, so that APSTH can start collating this list for future congresses.
